Michel Nafziger is a French-born photographer whose work spans fashion, beauty, advertising, and celebrity portraiture. Originally from Brittany, Michel began his career in Paris as an assistant to renowned photographer George Tourdjman. He later honed his craft at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he was awarded the Merit Award Scholarship.

Returning to Paris, Michel worked with French Vogue during a golden era of fashion photography, assisting photographers such, Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin, Albert Watson, George Hurrell to name a few.

Over the years, Michel’s work has been featured in leading publications including American Vogue, Italian Condé Nast, i-D Magazine, French Elle, Marie Claire and various international editions. His visual style has shaped global campaigns for brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Marithé & François Girbaud, Guy Laroche, and Hanro of Switzerland, Function of Beauty.

With over 50 covers and ~ 500 pages of editorial content published worldwide, Michel brings a seasoned eye and a unique creative voice to every project.

In addition to his commercial and editorial work, Michel teaches an annual workshop at the International Center of Photography in New York and has exhibited solo at the Iliya Fridman Gallery in NYC.
